To ensure that we offer you the products and services that best fit your needs, the bank gathers information about you. At the same time, the bank is committed to safeguarding any information you share with us. Information you provide us, whether through our Internet service or at one of our branch offices, will be held in the strictest confidence. The bank will not engage in the sale of customer information nor will we share that information with others, except as indicated below.

Privacy Principles
The bank is committed to the appropriate use and maintenance of customer information. To this end, the bank:

  • Will use, collect and retain customer information only where reasonably useful to the bank's business;
  • Will maintain accurate, current and complete customer information in accordance with reason- able commercial standards;
  • Limits access to personally identifiable information to employees with a business reason for knowing such information;
  • Protects information via established security procedures;
  • Trains all employees on proper identification methods to ensure we disclose information properly;
  • Performs audits to verify all procedures are properly followed.

Information Categories
Categories of information that the bank obtains and may disclose include:

  • Application information (such as assets and income);
  • Identifying information (such as name, address and social security number);
  • Transaction information (such as information about account balance, payment history, parties to a transaction and credit card usage);
  • Information from consumer reports (such as credit- worthiness and credit history).

Disclosure of Information to Non-affiliated Third Parties
We will disclose customer information to third parties:

  • Where it is necessary for completing transactions on an account;
  • To verify the existence and condition of your account for a third party, such as a credit bureau or merchant;
  • To comply with government agency order, court orders or other authorized legal process;
  • As permitted by law;
  • If you give us written permission.

Disclosure of Information to Bank Subsidiaries
The bank will not share your information with third parties not directly related to the bank except as indicated above. Your information may be shared with bank subsidiaries or other affiliates to ensure you are offered a full line of financial services through the bank. You may inform us of your desire not to have your name and other information shared with bank subsidiaries or affiliates by contacting a customer service representative at any branch office, by calling (765) 742-1064 or (800) 704-3084 or by writing to the address below.

You must supply your name and social security number to enable us to process your request not to have your information shared with others. Please note that names and social security numbers of all parties to a joint account must be listed on the request that information not be shared. For joint accounts, one individual may request that information about all account owners not be shared.
